Manager – Tenements

Fortescue is now consistently producing more than 170 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead, establishing itself for future growth in a global market through innovation, product diversification and asset development.
Key accountabilities will include
- Ensure Fortescue’s tenure in Australia (WA, NSW, SA) is kept in good standing
- Ensure that key risks to Fortescue’s tenure are identified and managed
- Support enhancements to Fortescue’s Land Management System
- Ensure that Fortescue’s tenure conditions are being met
- Ensure costs are being correctly attributed to tenements
- Support the activities of the Acquisitions and Tenements Department where required
- Maintain relationships with Government
- Support overseas and interstate tenure management where required
Qualifications and skills required:
- Tertiary qualifications preferred
- Law qualifications an advantage
Essential- >7 years senior role in tenure management
- >7 years management of people & teams
- In-depth technical knowledge of WA Mining Act and Regulations
An advantage
- >7 years background/experience in roles involving one or more of the following:
- Commercial management
- Government relations
- Mining approvals within industry or Government
- Legal work

- Confident communicator
- Ability to work under pressure and take decisive action
