Fortescue as seeking a suitability qualified Light Vehicle mechanic based at our Hedland operations. You will be responsible to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs to a range of equipment including LV’s, generators with particular focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
This is a residential role in Port Hedland on a 4:3 roster.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Maintenance of LVs and various generator equipment
- Diagnostics & Fault Finding
- Workshop duties as required
- Use SAP to capture all maintenance history
- Ensure FMG Hedland Operations site OHS&E procedures and policies are followed
Qualifications and skills required:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate as a Automotive Mechanic
- Minimum 5yrs experience in similar role
- Previous experience working with Forklift, EWP, trucks (Essential)
- Previous experience with mobile plant like bobcat, excavator, grader (Desirable)
- High regard for safety
- Current WA drivers license
- Heavy Rigid Driver’s License (Desirable)
- Familiar with the use of diagnostic tools
- Competent with areas of basic Auto electrical fault finding and installs
- Ability to handle changes in a positive manner
